The shortage of IT professionals is a reality in today’s market and an obstacle to the digital transition of companies. But how can this problem be solved? It was to present its solution and share new ideas that Masterlink organized the first edition of Mastercoffee this Thursday, November 24.
The event, held in partnership with AWS, took place at the Evolution Lisboa Hotel during the morning, with presentations focused on the theme “Digital transition and the skills shortage.” Representatives from various public and private organizations were in attendance.
No-code as a response to the shortage of IT professionals
Operations and Marketing Director Nuno Rosa was responsible for explaining Masterlink’s role in the digital transition of companies. During his speech, Nuno presented data on the use of technology and highlighted the issue of skills shortages within organizations.
“It was a moment of sharing, of feeling the market through those people. The goal was for us to convey a message, a current topic, and evoke some empathy regarding what we see and what our clients can perceive. The idea was not to teach, but to share, and I believe this goal was achieved,” comments Nuno Rosa.
The director also states that the plan is to promote new editions of the event in the same format—more intimate, allowing for knowledge sharing and direct conversations with participants.
Case studies and the AWS vision
The event also featured a presentation by the Director of the IT Department of the Cascais Municipality, Nuno Brito Palma, who shared his experience using Masterlink’s no-code technology with the audience.
To conclude the presentations, Francisco Chaves, Partner Development Manager at AWS, explained to the guests how AWS works, the advantages of cloud migration, and how the partnership between the global company and Masterlink has been functioning.
A positive assessment of the first edition
This was the first edition of Mastercoffee, an event created by Masterlink for the presentation and debate of topics relevant to the market and concurrently linked to technological solutions.
The meeting’s success was positively evaluated by Masterlink CEO Daniel Gomes.
“The theme is very relevant. Organizations need to achieve digital transformation, but the skills shortage is present not only in human resources but across all dimensions. What we saw at the event was the opportunity to generate discussion, stimulate questions, and get people to share their concerns and fears. I think it became clear how much everyone sees this threat of a lack of skills, and indeed everyone identifies how technologies can be applied to achieve organizational goals and support people,” says Daniel Gomes.
Mastercoffee concluded with an exchange of ideas, highlighted by very active participation among the guests.
