Masterlink took part in The Future is Now event, held on November 18, where CEO Daniel Gomes presented the company’s vision for people-centred digital transformation and a real-world example of impact in the public sector, brought by Hermínia Miranda, from GEPAC, the Cultural Strategy, Planning and Assessment Office.
In his address, Daniel Gomes stressed that “technology for technology’s sake serves no purpose; what matters is what people can do with it.” This is a principle that guides Masterlink’s no-code platform, built to offer autonomy, simplicity, efficiency, and scale.
The platform integrates complete functional engines—forms, workflows, automations, reports, CMS—with 100% cloud security, native integrations, and AI-ready capabilities, enabling more autonomous teams and more agile organizations.
A real-world case: GEPAC digitizes applications in three days with the Masterlink platform
The event’s guest speaker, Hermínia Miranda (GEPAC), presented the case of the Support Programme for Projects of Cultural Merit, whose main challenge was launching an application system within an extremely short deadline.
As she explained, the online form was made available in just three days, evolving in parallel as the process took shape.
For applicants, the application enabled simple submissions, status tracking, and direct information exchange within the platform, without emails or attachments.
Internally, GEPAC and the Assessment Committee began working with distinct profiles, clear validation cycles, recorded opinions, full transparency, and automatic indicators to support decision-making.
The results exceeded all expectations:
- 523 applications registered,
- 292 submitted,
- €21.5 million in cultural initiatives presented,
- €17.2 million in potential public funding.
Managing this volume manually would have been unfeasible within the set deadlines. The project’s agility and close collaboration between GEPAC and the functional team were key to turning an almost impossible challenge into a reusable solution for future programmes.
Technology as a means, impact on people
The session closed with Masterlink’s core message: technology is merely the means—real transformation happens when teams gain the autonomy to create, adjust, and evolve solutions simply and quickly.
